We can't survive long term if we don't have a plan for raising funds.
So we've created an exciting new venture called LiveEatTalkCIC. Our Community Interest Company will offer a range of vocational rehabilitation products that we know will be of interest to both commissioners and individuals looking to improve the lives of people living with neuro.
During lockdown we've been working with a range of experts on developing online sessions for people living with long term conditions including mental health issues. Everything from poetry to brick therapy, sing-alongs to bouncing balloons. We've produced recipes to keep meals healthy, affordable and tasty. We know we've helped to reduce loneliness and isolation. We're now using this work to develop our future workshops.
Through our workshops, events and short programmes, people will be able to learn new skills, relearn some old ones and look forward. They can take part in gentle exercise, have fun and learn ways to feed themselves and others. We want our people to have a quality of living.
For some it will be an opportunity for education, training and employment.
We believe this is the future of support for people living with neuro and long term conditions in Greater Manchester. In the meantime we're filling the gap.
