Gtr Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership

The Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership was set up to oversee the devolution of health and social care services in Gtr Manchester. The aim is to " achieve the biggest, fastest improvement to the health and well-being " of the region. They're working on a number of new plans that support everything from good eating habits and exercise to education and everyone’s ability to earn a decent living.

They want to give children the start they need, support independence in old age, tackle illness earlier on and even prevent it altogether by improving peoples lifestyles.

They aim to do all this by 2021.

This is very ambitious and so far the success and experience of patients, carers, families and their adult supporters has been mixed.
